Well.. They get to add OS specific features like sharing the rendering engine and client http stack to all applications on windows who want to use it. They can enhance browser security using OS mechanisms like IE on Vista's Protected Mode. They also won't abandon tons of paying customers that have developed web applications that just don't work with firefox because firefox cares (for the better or the worse) more about standards compliance then backwards compatability.
