Sadly, Apple won't do it cause Jobs hates Linux.

Also, consider that Apple doing anything intelligent in the software market would impossible. If they really want to stir up software they would open up libraries to their software so people could write "widgets" for their products. Open up execution libraries for the Apple binary format, and emulation for Windows & Linux. iTunes for Linux, iMovie for Linux, i* for Windows and Linux!

I agree with the posting that claims that Jobs hates Linux. I have suspected this for a long time b/c there has never been a version of quicktime/iTunes for Linux. I don't recall Jobs even mentioning Linux (as if it doesn't even exist). Let's face it. Everybody loves to hate MS but Apple (though, innovative) is even more proprietary than MS. Thus, Apple would rather be buddy buddy with MS than be friendly with Linux. Shoot, even Adobe finally released a new version of Flash player but zilch from Apple.
