Very well. Let's suppose that open source never ever existed instead...
Which means people never exchanged code freely, right? 'cause that's what open source is all about.
Here is my guess: there would be no personal computer.

Of course there would be no internet, silly you! Why would you build a network between incompatible corporate super-computers?? Imagine the threat to security that would be?
