Thanks for the insight, Harry! Does your model allow for a topic type called a "reference procedure?" That type of info is nearly what this topic is (a new topic type?), and referring to that topic 4 months later might be easier if a "reference procedure" was a topic type. Interesting.

Also, I am going to re-examine the configuration itself -- in my mental model, I have a separate distinction between "installation configuration" (one-time configurations) and "product configuration" but I should be sure that model matches my reader's model.

I like to avoid annoyance at all costs, both for me, the reader, and any writer who has to pick up these topics later. :)
