Anne Gentle
Bio
Anne writes different
deliverables ranging from user manuals to online help to white papers
on a technical publications team that works on distributed system
products. Known to write a script or two to automate repetitive tasks
like help builds, she also likes to work with XML-based information
models like Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA). She often
experiments with online help technology, enjoys writing blog entries,
and wants to find new ways to use communication to help people
understand technical solutions to complex problems.
Anne holds a chemistry undergraduate degree and completed a master's
degree at Miami University in Technical and Scientific Communication
(MTSC)
while working full-time as a graduate student. Anne has surpassed the
ten year mark as a technical communicator, and about half of that time
has been spent at BMC Software.
