Fred
Johannessen is responsible for the Technology Alliances &
MarketZone organization in BMC. In this role, Johannessen is
responsible for the inbound ecosystem for BMC which includes the BMC
Developer Network, the Technology Alliance Program which enables 3rd
party integrations with BMC technologies such as CMDB and provides
joint marketing with Alliance Partners, and MarketZone which enables
reselling of Alliance Partner products via BMC channels.
Johannessen has been with BMC Software nearly 12 years and has served
in a variety of roles including managing development teams, strategy
definition and execution, and business development. In has last
assignment he was Vice President and Program Executive responsible for
Data center Operations (DCO), Change & Configuration Management
(CCM), and Capacity Management & Provisioning (CMP) – all
strategic initiatives within BMC. Additionally, he was responsible for
incorporating BMC’s virtualization strategy into these inititiatives.
He brings a wealth of experience prior to BMC Software in all facets of
the software business from development to consulting to marketing and
strategy.
