As I said, my main complaint with Mandrake was how slow the repositories were getting for downloading updates. There are things I prefered over Mandrake that I have not seen equaled to this day. The installation package chooser was the best there was/is.
Well... there was that starry eyed penguin theme a while back that was disconcerting, but I think that only lasted one release. :) My daughter saw that on one of my test systems and asked me what in the world was wrong with Tux! She has been using Linux since she was seven or so, and Mandrake was always her distro.
