nodirplus isn't the fix

Posted by Dan Nelson at 2007-08-22 12:24
A coworker just reported the same problem ("not a directory" on directories) with a Suse box running a 2.6.19.7 kernel, and mounting the remote Tru64 box with the nordirplus flag didn't help. Ethereal dumps of the output from the Tru64 box look fine; all LOOKUP, FSINFO, and PATHCONF replies say the type is "Directory". Forcing an NFSv2 mount is the only workaround.

NODIRPLUS is a NOP I think

We had the same experience. We tried it. It did not work. In fact, on our traces we could not tell it was doing *anything*. It seems to be a No-OP, at least right now.
